Stories from worldbuilding, insights into books and characters, Seedwake news, and reports on the creation of the Atlaron universe.July 6, 2026 · 3 min read · J. A. Boettcher
Atlaron is more than the setting of a single story. It is a world that continues to grow with every place, every character, and every new idea. This blog will become a home for everything that takes shape between the finished works: thoughts from the writing process, insights into worldbuilding, stories behind characters and settings, and news about the books and the game Seedwake. It will not be limited to finished results. The paths leading to them are also part of Atlaron: discarded ideas, unexpected developments, creative decisions, and the process of turning individual fragments into a coherent world.
Stories behind the world
How do you create a place that feels as though it existed long before the first story set there was ever told? The blog will take a closer look at regions, cultures, legends, and historical events from Atlaron. Some posts will explore the larger connections; others will focus on a single building, an old custom, or an almost forgotten tale. Not all of these details will be explained directly in a book or game. The blog therefore makes room for the elements that bring a world to life even when they remain in the background.
Books, characters, and their stories
The books are an important part of the Atlaron universe. Here, you will find insights into their creation, their themes, and the people whose journeys they tell.Planned posts will explore topics such as:
characters and their inner conflicts
places that are crucial to their stories
the development of individual scenes and chapters
motifs, symbols, and recurring questions
the progress of upcoming works
No decisive twists should be revealed. Instead, the aim is to offer a look behind the scenes and view the stories from new perspectives.
News from Seedwake
Seedwake is creating another way into the world of Atlaron. The focus is not only on development progress, but above all on the ideas behind the game: What atmosphere should a region evoke? How does an environment tell its own story? What role do choices, discoveries, and encounters play? The blog will accompany Seedwake on its journey and share selected concepts, settings, and thoughts from development.
Events and encounters
Atlaron is not meant to exist only in digital spaces or between the pages of a book.Reports from events, readings, fairs, and other encounters will also have a place here. These will include recaps, impressions, special moments, and occasionally previews of upcoming dates.
A growing archive
This blog is intentionally starting small. Over time, it should grow into an archive that follows the development of Atlaron and makes its connections visible. Some posts will offer extensive insights. Others will be shorter: a worldbuilding sketch, a thought about a character, an introduction to a place, or a note from an ongoing project. What connects them is the view behind the visible works.
Welcome to Atlaron
Perhaps you are here because of the books. Perhaps Seedwake sparked your curiosity. Or perhaps you simply want to watch a fictional world grow over the years.Whatever brought you here: welcome. The first stories have already begun.
